- Marie Ricks
- Marie has been sharing organization skills for more than 20 years now. She teaches an eight-week, sixteen-topic course including time management, food preparation, closet and cupboard organization, budgeting, teaching children to work, and shopping skills. Her classes have proven popular both in San Jose, California and Utah County, where she now lives. She frequently teaches home organization principles at church and other community gatherings. She also does in-home consultations, i.e. she has seen a lot of dirty laundry, cluttered closets, and stacks of untidy paperwork, all of which is very exciting to her. Marie is a presenter at B.Y.U.’s Education Week and has published a House of Order Handbook, Project: Organization, Quick and Easy Ways to Organize Your Life, and Organized For A Mission, a Guide for Parents and Missionaries which are on bookstore shelves now. Marie has had her own radio show on AM820. She currently appears as a featured guest on TV. I love "Lazy Susans" but the word seems almost blasphemous, as my name is Susan. I can hardly say the words. At my house they are called a lot of things, but not "Lazy Susans". We call then "Turning things", and my favorite is: "Lady Susan" Doesnt' that sound better?!
Susan, I like your idea. From now, I'll refer to them as Lady Susans (in your honor)!
